PADS in Kendall County
Beginning in October 2010, Public Access to Deliver Shelter (PADS) in Kendall County is expected to be operational, at seven different church sites across the county, providing warm overnight shelter to our neighbors who currently don’t have a permanent home. P.A.D.S. (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) is a non-profit, volunteer organization whose purpose is to provide food and shelter to people in need.  Compassion, hospitality, and dignity are the key characteristics of the PADS program.    Each PADS location provides its guests a safe shelter for the night, a place to clean up, a sleeping pad with sheets, blanket and pillow, a hot evening meal, a light breakfast, and a sack lunch the next day.  This is a new, unchartered adventure for all of us, who need the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as well as the synergism of all our combined ideas, enthusiasm, support and energy.  Click here to learn more.

Plano Farmer’s Market begins Saturday, July 31, from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 
Continuing on Saturday mornings through October 2, 2010.  

All around our nation, folks are realizing the benefits of getting food from sources close to home. 
Visitors can shop for fresh, local produce, or choose a handcrafted gift.
